The Imperial Castle in Poznań was built at the beginning of the 20th century but served the emperor for only a short time – he visited it only a few times. During World War II, the building was converted into a residence for Adolf Hitler. Nowadays, it houses the Zamek Cultural Center. Inside, you’ll find numerous cultural institutions such as the Palace Cinema, the Animation Theater, and the Museum of the Poznań June 1956.
The castle itself does not function as a museum, and it doesn’t feature many antique furnishings or original equipment. Despite this, it is a fascinating place. Some rooms and corridors can be toured either with an audio guide or with us! The tour of the building takes about 1-1.5 hours, and if you’re still hungry for more afterward, we’d be happy to take you on a trip around the Castle District as well!
