On this tour you will visit 3 unique restaurants in the center of Poznań, serving a different local dish. Surely no one will go hungry! Dumplings, żurek (sour flour soup), bigos, , roast duck, one of dozens of potato dishes that are so popular in Poznań… Choosing the menu can be difficult, but the tour itself is pure fun. Your guide will tell you interesting facts about the regional cuisine and teach you the most important words in the Poznanian dialect. He will explain how the dish “blind fish” came about and what it actually has to do with fish, and why the people of Poznan love “pyry” (potatoes).
Between tastings, you will have the opportunity to stretch your legs and stroll around the Old Market Square. The tour guide will show you the parish church and the former Jesuit college and tell you the most interesting anecdotes associated with these places.
The shorter version of the tour lasts 3 hours and includes a visit to 3 restaurants. If you prefer to learn more about the city, we invite you to join a 4 or even 5-hour tour!
Although Polish cuisine is rather hearty and rich in meat dishes, we will find something tasty for vegetarians as well.
