Poznań is the only city in Poland with two castles. During the tour, you will visit both of them, as well as the palace in Rogalin and the castle in Kórnik. Each of them has a completely different character and history, so the tour will never be monotonous.
The Imperial Castle in Poznań, built at the beginning of the 20th century, is the youngest monarchical residence in Europe and is now home to the Zamek Cultural Center. Here you can see Adolf Hitler’s office room and the original imperial throne, among other things. Later you will visit the reconstructed royal palace, which was originally built in the 13th century. Its main attraction is theviewpoint tower, which you can easily reach by elevator. Two other residences are located approx. 20 km from Poznań (and approx. 12 km from each other) and can only be reached by bus or car. The castle in Kórnik is a romantic residence of the Działyński family from the 19th century, which – just like the palace in Rogalin – impresses with its interior design. Both can be visited with an audio guide, although we recommend a human guide. In Rogalin, you will walk through an elegant rococo garden and a landscape park with famous 800-year-old oak trees. We plan a coffee break or lunch during the tour so that it’s not too strenuous.
And if four castles and a palace are too much for you, you can also opt for a shorter version and only visit Kórnik and Rogalin.
The exact price depends on the duration of the tour and selected sights. Entrance tickets, meals, parking fees and transportation to Kórnik and Rogalin are not included.
