My name is Katarzyna Tymek and I have been a licensed city guide since 2009. I organise and guide tours of Poznan and the Piast Route – the kind of tours I would like to take part in myself. I want a walk around the city with me to be a pleasure and for my guests to remember the images and stories of the tour. I love anecdotes – they are the ones to remember. I try to tailor the content and programme of the tour to specific groups and people – something different will be heard from me by a school group and something different by company employees on a team-building walk.

If you don’t have much time and only want to see the must-see attractions of Poznań, this tour is the right choice. You will meet your guide on Cathedral Island, where the Polish state was born over 1000 years ago. In the cellars of the cathedral you will see relics from the 10th century. In the Golden Chapel you can admire the sarcophagus with the bones of the first Polish rulers. You will also find out what life was like in Poznań Borough. If you have time, you can marvel at the cross-section of imposing ramparts from the 10th century in the Archaeological Reserve. In the neighboring district of Śródka you will find a magnificent 3D mural painting, which was named one of the New Wonders of Poland. Afterwards, make your way (on foot or by bus) to the Old Market Square, where you can admire the charming Renaissance town hall and colorful tenement houses. Perhaps you will also manage to see the famous Poznan billy goats? Or take part in a short organ concert in the nearby parish church?

Although this guided tour focuses on history and culture, the guide will not torture you with too many dates and names but will entertain you with anecdotes and interesting facts. He will also be happy to answer all your questions about Poznań, the best restaurants and local cuisine, as well as other sights and life in Poland and Poznań.

For larger groups we recommend hiring tour guide equipment, which greatly improves comfort of sightseeing.

The exact price of the tour depends on its duration and possible additional services. Entrance tickets are not included.
